The Full Story

Founded in 2010 by a mom looking for natural haircare options for my 2 daughters. At the age of 7 my oldest daughter’s hair began to break off for no obvious reasons about 3ins from the root; I was horrified! With that came all the common fears; but really, I just wanted to know what was happening to her.   I took her to countless doctors trying to get answers.  About 6mons later I was forced to cut off all her beautiful hair.  It was at this time I began exploring natural oils and butters and began making my own DIY haircare products.   Black and Mixed Haircare is rooted in my passion for healthy natural hair and scalp care, natural and non-toxic ingredients, as well as high-quality products.
